The following activities were carried out as part of Work Package 5:
- Design of the architecture of the software sensor’s edge computing system, based on the graph-based modeling of distribution networks and its functional partitioning into sub-graphs– topology of software sensors and physical sensors
- Decomposition of the individual software components (observer design, target area identification, parallel execution of observer arrays, observer selection algorithm, observer switching execution, supervisors, diagnosers, etc.) and distribution of their implementation across field controllers, edge nodes, and the cloud.
- Implementation of software sensors, supervisors, and diagnosers in software suitable for implementation on PLCs and SCADA systems, as well as their implementation on an edge computing platform
- Simulations of software sensors
- Execution of soft sensors software in combination with hardware-in-the-loop logic to simulate the operation of the water network and emulate the implementation architecture of the software sensors
- Utilization of the results of the Work Package for the production of research papers
