The following activities were carried out as part of Work Package 3:
- Development of a finite step algorithm for designing software sensors that generate real-time, quantified estimates of water supply network variables that cannot be directly measured by physical sensors
- Development of algorithms to optimize the selection of degrees of freedom for software sensors in water supply networks.
- Development of algorithms for designing an observer array for water supply network description systems with nonlinear dynamics
- Development of algorithms for optimizing the selection of operating points based on which the individual observers of the array comprising the software sensor are determined.
- Development of a suitable algorithm for simplifying the structure of software sensors.
- Investigation of the performance of software sensors through computational experiments.
- Development of open-source code for simulating the behavior of software sensors and optimizing the selection of their degrees of freedom.
- Utilization of the results of the Work Package for the production of research papers.
The open-source codes developed for WP3 are available here.
