The following activities were carried out as part of Work Package 2:
- Collection and analysis of information regarding the processes and phenomena that affect water quality in distribution networks.
- Recording of key chemical and biological parameters related to water quality.
- Recording and reviewing key water quality indicators in distribution networks.
- Developing models for key structural elements of water distribution networks.
- Modeling hydraulic variables, concentrations of chemical components, and quality indicators.
- Formulation of an algorithmic procedure for modeling complex distribution network topologies.
- Development of mathematical models of complex distribution network topologies in the form of systems of partial differential equations (distributed models),
- Simplification of distribution network models, where the result of the simplification is system descriptions in the form of nonlinear ordinary differential equations, in the form of linear continuous-time approximations, and in the form of linear discrete-time approximations.
- Development of algorithms for identifying and estimating uncertain parameters in water distribution networks.
- Conducting computational experiments to study the behavior of representative network topologies and comparing the results.
- Development of open-source simulation codes for the behavior of water distribution networks.
- Utilization of the results of the Work Package for the production of research paper
The open-source codes developed for WP2 are available here.
