N. D. Kouvakas is with the Department of Digital Industry Technologies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens where he is Associate Professor of Automatic Control in Motion and Navigation Systems. He serves as Deputy Director of the Post Graduate Program “Advanced Control Systems and Robotics”. He has served as Deputy Head of the Department of Automation Engineering and member of the Quality Assurance Unit of the Technological Education Institute of Sterea Ellada. He has published over 80 research papers in journals, conferences and edited books. His current interests include process modeling, distributed control, control of wastewater treatment plants, control of robotic systems, control of switching systems, control of networked systems, cyberphysical systems, motor control, vehicular control.
