EXHIBITION FEATURE: INNOVATIONS FROM RCCL NKUA
The Laboratory of Robotics, Automatic Control, and Cyber-Physical Systems (RCCL) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) was an active participant and exhibitor at the Kalamata Tech Expo & Intelligent Systems Festival, where it showcased cutting-edge technologies that bridge cultural heritage with advanced intelligent systems.
At the festival, RCCL presented recent research and functional prototypes, including:
- Four-Wheel Steering (4WS) Robotic Vehicles: Showcasing extreme maneuverability and stability, enhanced by advanced control algorithms.
- High-Precision 3D Robotic Scanning: Demonstrating technology for the digital preservation and precise reproduction of ancient texts and archaeological artifacts, including cultural symbols like the Canonical Cycladic Figurine. This process was supported by advanced 3D printing techniques for physical output.
- LiDAR-Guided Autonomous Vehicles: Featuring educational and research platforms equipped with LiDAR vision and intelligent navigation algorithms for movement in unstructured, real-world environments.
- Collaborative and Mobile Robots: Showcasing flexible robotic systems designed for interaction in modern, agile manufacturing and educational environments.
