FAIEMA RESULTS 2024

Results of the «Springer 2nd International Conference on Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Multidisciplinary Applications»

The "Springer 2nd International Conference on Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Multidisciplinary Applications (FAIEMA 2024)", hosted by the Robotics, Automatic Control and Cyber-Physical Systems Lab of the Department of Digital Industry Technologies, School of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, was successfully completed. The conference was held in person on Tuesday, 1 October and Wednesday, 2 October 2024, in Athens, at the “Alkis Argyriadis” and "Ioannis Drakopoulos" Amphitheatres of NKUA.

The conference was organized by the following Universities: University of Stavanger (Norway), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), Simula Metropolitan Center for Digital Engineering (Norway), University of Klagenfurt (Austria), Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway), and the National Technical University of Athens (Greece).

The conference focused on safe AI, ethical design and responsible implementation, transparency in algorithms, as well as the implications of new technologies. It was an excellent opportunity for exchange of ideas and networking to promote international and multidisciplinary collaborations. Major General Georgios Panousis, Director of the 6th Branch of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, dealing with Transformation, Innovation and Defense Technology, addressed the conference attendees.

Original research publications were submitted by researchers from 25 countries. The publications were evaluated and selected through a full-text review process. The acceptance rate was approximately 50%. The research papers presented at the conference, will be included in the conference proceedings to be published by Springer Nature Singapore. The papers were organized in the following thematic areas:
