A&R EXPO 2026 SUMMARY RESULTS

The Robotics, Automatic Control and Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory (RCCL) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) showcased pioneering research at the Automation and Robotics Expo 2026, highlighting the intersection of advanced engineering and societal impact, providing a deep perspective into the technological solutions destined to transform both industry and society.

During the EXPO more than two hundred visitors to the exhibition showed particular interest in the laboratory's activities. The visit of Ms. Maria Tzevelekou, President of the Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece, emphasized RCCL’s commitment to multi sensor systems and high precision constructions.

Fotis Koumboulis, Maria Tzamtzi, Nikolaos Kouvakas, and Antonis Menexis participated in a panel discussion on “AI and New Technologies | From research to Application”, where they presented the latest research results of RCCL on intelligent soft sensor systems for Water Distribution Networks as well as the impact of RCCL results to public health and operational efficiency of Water Distribution Networks.
